Boards play a large role in a nonprofit’s success. Before you can ensure your board is effectively carrying out its roles and responsibilities, you need to make sure you have the right people in place through intentional and ongoing strategic recruitment.
Does your organization have a plan for recruitment, selection, and orientation of board members? Do you have clarity about the skills, experiences, and connections needed on the board? A strong recruitment and development process provides the foundation for building a high-impact, mission-driven board.
This workshop will help you:
- Develop and refine a recruitment and selection process
- Set recruitment goals
- Recruit board members with a mix of skills and experiences
- Improve onboarding by welcoming and orienting new board members
- Identify ongoing board development needs
A light lunch will be provided.

About the Speaker
Erick Seelbach (she/her)
Erick graduated from The Evergreen State College with a Master of Arts in Teaching.
