Helping people get rides to vaccination appointments

May 27, 2021

Lyft has partnered with the White House to increase vaccine access in our communities. Starting May 24, they’re funding free rides (up to $15) each way, to and from vaccination appointments.

How can nonprofits help?

Lyft has two ways to partner with community organizations to help remove transportation as a barrier to accessing vaccines.

  • Access to free rides (up to $15 each way to and from vaccine sites) for all: Starting on Monday May 24 and while supplies last, Lyft users will be able to open their app, click on a banner that will direct them to answer a few screening questions via a webform, and get a code they can enter to get a discount on their rides to/from tens of thousands of vaccination sites. Each rider will receive two free rides (up to $15 off each), usable on Lyft’s bikes, scooters, or rideshare services.
  • Partnerships for free ride support to/from vaccines: If nonprofits are in need of more than $15 worth of free ride credit support to and from vaccine sites, they can contact Gracie Geremia (PNW Community Engagement Lead) at [email protected] to discuss partnership opportunities.
