Have you thought about serving on a nonprofit board? Do you wish you knew more about what it is really like? Nonprofit Association of Washington board members invite you to join them for an informal event where you will hear from them about their experience serving on our board. Why do they serve, and what do they get out of the experience? What do they wish they had known before joining a board? This will be an opportunity for you to ask questions you may have about being a board member.
Nonprofit Association of Washington is currently recruiting new board members, and we are committed to building a board that reflects the diverse community we serve. In particular, we are seeking to add regional representation from Northwest Washington, North Central Washington, Eastern Washington/Spokane, and the South Puget Sound area, especially emerging leaders and people from Black, Indigenous, Latine, other communities of color and rural areas.
Do you fit into one or more of these categories? Are you interested in volunteering to strengthen nonprofits throughout Washington state? Not sure but might want to learn more? Please come to this meeting and get to know us a little better. You can express interest in our board afterward or just walk away with more knowledge about nonprofit boards. And if you have ideas about others who might enjoy the conversation, please invite them to join you.
