“Tools for Running an Effective Nonprofit” will be offered in Long Beach, Mount Vernon, Prosser, Moses Lake, and Tacoma this spring. We think about the content of the workshop as being what is involved in planning a road trip: where are you going (purpose, right sizing), what are the rules of the road (legal and finance rules), what road should you take (program planning), who is driving with you (board and volunteers), and how will you fuel your organization (fundraising). Participants will leave ready to take action on a few elements of their organization, and a stronger sense of community with others learning alongside them.
This day is perfect for members of a working board and staff of small nonprofits. Mid-size nonprofit staff new to nonprofits would benefit as well.
This workshop is being offered by WashingtonNonprofits working in partnership with the Nonprofit Network of Southwest Washington and the Office of the Secretary of State. It costs only $20 to attend, with all resources and a light lunch included.
