Collaborative Fund Development for Rural Nonprofits

Event Details

Wednesday, June 21, 2023
10:00AM – 1:00PM PT
Centralia Union Depot
210 Railroad Street, Centralia, WA 98531

Whether it’s lack of attention from major foundations, inability to meet government matching requirements or a perceived lack of staff expertise, rural nonprofits face a multitude of barriers in building relationships with and receiving funding from philanthropy. But the network of a rural community can be one of its greatest superpowers in breaking those barriers down. Join us on June 21st, from 10 am to 1 pm for a special event on Collaborative Fund Development for Rural Nonprofits.

Participants will learn about:
  • Collaborative fund development principles
  • How this approach can help prepare organizations for partnerships with philanthropy
  • Conducting funder outreach
  • Establishing and sustaining partnerships
Through a “Think Tank” activity, everyone will have the chance to apply what they learn with colleagues to address a fundraising or capacity challenge they are currently facing. We’ll end this day of learning and collaboration with a networking lunch hosted by the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound.

This program is brought to you in partnership with the Centralia Community Foundation and Community Foundation of South Puget Sound.
