Boards in Gear Webinar Watch Party and Work Session

Boards play a pivotal role in a nonprofit’s success. As a board, you want your nonprofit to thrive and make a difference in the communities served by your organization.

Join us for a FREE Boards and Gear training via webinar, followed by an in-person work session where we will explore and expand upon what was taught in the webinar and apply it to your specific organization. The webinar watch party is scheduled from noon – 2 p.m. and, after a 15-minute break, we’ll dive in with your questions as our jumping off point, from 2:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

The webinar and work session will cover:

  1. Connection to cause
  2. Board responsibilities
  3. Board operations
  4. Composition and development
  5. Fundraising

This board training and technical assistance session is for all nonprofit board members, whether prospective, new, or experienced, as well as nonprofit staff and executive directors.

Materials, snacks, and beverages will be provided. 

Cost

This watch party is free to attend. 

 

Accessibility

Captioning: We will have automated captioning enabled.

Interpretation: Please indicate during registration if you have an interpretation request. Typically, we need at least two weeks in order to schedule an interpreter.

Visual Descriptions: Presenters will include visual descriptions of themselves and the slides to give a person who is low-vision or blind a sense of space and place.

About the Speakers

Watch Party Presenter – Gabriel Cruden, Connections Consulting

Whether you are a board member, staff member, or volunteer, Gabriel Cruden, Connections Consulting, wants your time and effort to be valued and to make a difference towards your mission. Gabriel has worked in the nonprofit, economic development, community development, education, and communications sectors. He has served as volunteer, staff member, executive director, grant writer, grant reviewer, and board member. Gabriel currently owns and publishes a regional magazine and several community newspapers and sits on the Region 1 Leadership Council for the Innovia Foundation. He is passionate about connecting people and causes to the resources they need, especially in rural northeastern Washington.

NAWA will provide masks at all in-person events and anyone attending should feel comfortable requesting or wearing one.
