11:00AM – 12:00PM PT
Online via Zoom – This webinar will be recorded
Words have power, especially when we see words in legal documents. Taking steps to update legal documents to be more inclusive is part of representation, inclusion, and building a more inclusive legal structure. Organizations have lots of legal documents, but often those documents are full of legalese, outdated language, and don’t account for changing social norms that are accounted for in everyday interactions. This workshop includes easy areas where legal documents can be adjusted to be more inclusive and accessible.
Learning Outcomes: You will learn areas where legal documents can be updated and be able to identify and ask for those updates with your team and legal professionals.
Important Note: This information is provided for educational purposes only and does not constitute legal or technical advice. If you are unsure about anything covered in this presentation, we suggest that you contact the appropriate agency or seek professional advice.
