Time is running out for nonprofit employees to take advantage of the limited Public Service Loan Forgiveness waiver. If you work for a nonprofit and have federal student loans, you only have until October 31 to apply for this temporary expansion of the program. Even payments that previously didn’t count toward forgiveness of your student loans could be eligible under this limited-time program. Join us to hear from experts – and have your questions answered – about Public Service Loan Forgiveness to learn how you could be much closer to loan forgiveness than you think!

About the Speakers

Ashley Harrington, Senior Advisor, U.S. Department of Education Office of Federal Student Aid

Ashley Harrington is the senior advisor to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Department of Education’s Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA). Ashley advises the COO on policy implementation, operations, and external communications related to the $1.6 trillion federal student loan portfolio. She is the author of articles and reports on student debt, particularly as it affects Black borrowers; a frequent media contributor; and she has provided testimony before several congressional committees.

Rich Leimsider, Founder and CEO, PSLF.nyc and PSLF.us

Rich Leimsider is the Founder and Director of the PSLF.nyc and PSLF.us Campaigns – sprints to help 5 million Americans, including 250,000 New Yorkers, access $200 billion in student loan relief through a temporary fix to the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Previously, Rich was Executive Director of Safe Passage Project, a nonprofit organization that provides free lawyers to child refugees in New York who are being deported by the US government. He is a graduate of NYC public schools, several expensive institutions of higher ed, and lives in Brooklyn with his family.

Betsy is the President and Founder of The Institute of Student Loan Advisors (TISLA). She has been working in the student loan industry doing compliance and advocacy work for over 20 years and has helped thousands of borrowers with their student loans.
