You are invited to register for GiveBIG, our state’s largest philanthropic fundraising campaign that culminates in a 48-hour giving day on May 3-4. Last year, donors everywhere raised $17.4 million for nearly 1,700 Washington-based nonprofits. Early Giving begins April 19, but you have until April 28 to register.
GiveBIG is hosted on the Washington Gives platform, a dynamic interactive website that offers year-round fundraising capabilities, peer-to-peer fundraising, matches, customizable pages (including multimedia and the ability to promote events and volunteer opportunities), and visibility to potential new donors, board members, and supporters.
A statewide multimedia promotional campaign valued at $500,000 is already underway, with Seattle Seahawks legend Cliff Avril onboard in promoting GiveBIG to the wider community. This is a huge win in hyping up people to give!
Why is GiveBIG is such a fantastic opportunity to reach new folks? Each year about 20% of the donations nonprofits receive are from new donors because the platform empowers them to discover and donate to new organizations they’ve just learned about.
