This is the landing page for the 2021 Volunteer Managers Cohort. Thanks to funding from Serve Washington, Washington Nonprofits was able to offer volunteer managers three convenings in 2021 and additional support between events.
Schedule of events:
3 Cheers for Volunteers!
Thursday, January 28, 2021
12:00PM – 1:30PM
Free virtual workshop via Washington Nonprofits
Volunteers are the life-blood of nonprofit organizations and without them, most nonprofits would not even exist! Your nonprofit may only be working in one small corner of one small town, but to the people you serve and those that volunteer with you to serve, your work is life-changing and transformational! In order to attract and motivate volunteers, you’ll need to speak directly to their hearts and minds – and the best way to do that is with a great story!
In this fun hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to craft an evocative narrative that empowers fundraising activities and enables volunteers to form a deep connection to the cause while motivating them to become ultimate champions for the organization. You’ll build communication skills to advocate for your volunteer program to the greater community as well as internally to your own organization and those in leadership.
