About the Speakers
Tanya Silves, CPA, Partner & Tax Director, Larson Gross Advisors
I joined Larson Gross in 2001 and am now a part of the firm’s ownership group. I lead the firm’s tax practice, where I am focused on integrating our tax and advisory services to ensure the greatest benefit and impact for our clients. My primary focus is serving owner-operated businesses with tax planning and a wide variety of consulting topics, including budget and cash flow planning, profitability analyses and ownership transition planning.
I’ve been actively involved in the community for many years. Currently I serve on the boards of the Whatcom Long Term Recovery Group, Nooksack Valley Scholarship Foundation, Nooksack Youth Football, and Nooksack Valley Youth Basketball. Me and my husband, Tyler, live on a 12-acre hobby farm with our four kids and a never final list of animals, including pigs, goats, peacocks, ducks, chickens, rabbits, and Guinea hens. I enjoy caring for our orchard, photography and relaxing with friends.
Molly Honcoop, CPA, Senior Accountant, Larson Gross Advisors
Molly graduated from Whitworth University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and joined Larson Gross in 2017. From the onset of her career, she has worked within the agribusiness industry and nonprofit organizations, serving businesses and business owners with their tax preparation and planning needs.
In addition to understanding the unique nuances of ag and nonprofit tax, Molly also has experience in financial statement preparation. She helps business owners and directors use financial statements as a tool to get a picture of how their business is performing currently and how it performed historically to prepare for the future.
When Molly isn’t working with nonprofit organizations or farmers, she enjoys traveling and exploring, as well as reading a good book!
