2023 Advocacy Agenda & Legislative Kick-off

NAWA has worked with our nonprofit members, partner organizations, and policy committee to develop a strong legislative agenda for the 2023 session. You can see our legislative agenda here. Our priorities are:

(1) Improving government contracting,
(2) Keeping insurance affordable for nonprofits, and
(3) Investing in nonprofits and their workers as essential government partners.

It’s an exciting time for policy and advocacy at NAWA! We kicked off the 2023 legislative session with over 50 of you in early January. Then, we launched our Nonprofit Government Contract Coalition with over 65 of you, from all across Washington. The time is now to advocate for the nonprofit sector and wage equity. Join us at the next coalition meeting on February 8.

And if that wasn’t enough, it’s time to register for our members-only Legislative Reception in Olympia. Our aim is to foster deeper relationships among our nonprofit partners and lawmakers to create more opportunities for collaboration and communicate our priorities for the 2023 legislative session. If you are able, consider joining in an advocacy meeting with other nonprofits from your district earlier in the day.
